Silsbee
Laid out in 1894 as a sawmill town, Silsbee became a stop on the Santa Fe Railroad in 1902. A Harvey House Hotel opened here, as part of the string of Harvey House Hotels along the Santa Fe lines from Chicago to California. The Harvey House was an important part of the town's cultural life. The Marker is located at corner of S 4th St. and Ave. H in Silsbee.
