Longleaf Exhibit

The Texas Forestry Museum has a new exhibit displaying images of Longleaf pine restoration, created by Texas Conservation Alliance. TCA, in association with Earth Day Texas, has developed this exhibit that encourages restoration of the diverse Longleaf pine ecosystem which gave the Texas Pineywoods its name.

Only 3 percent remain of the 90 million acres of Longleaf that once dominated the southeastern U.S. The exhibit illustrates the benefits of restoring this natural resource by showcasing a dozen photographs and an eight-minute video featuring TCA’s Forests Director, Larry Shelton.
